ADE L ERROR

Hellow, I try to run ADEL after i installed the new version of cadence and this error pops up "ERROR (ADE-5704): Variable 'options faultDoSampling' is either not declared or does not exist
for analysis 'tran'."

Kindly if someone could help me rectify this problem, i will be very grateful

You did not indicate the version of the Cadence tools are the "new version", but are you aware that ADE-L is no longer supported? It has been replaced with ADE Assembler and Explorer. Perhaps you are trying to run ADE-L in a version of the Cadence tools that no longer support it.

    Shawn, @Psylver

Whilst ADE L is past end-of-sale, you wouldn't get that error if running in a version that didn't contain ADE L (because you wouldn't be able to run it).

The issue is (I believe) that you are running with too old a version of Spectre. Please state which IC sub-version and Spectre sub-version you're using (virtuoso -W and spectre -W from the UNIX command line will tell you this).

The problem has been resolved. The spectre version was from 2017 and that was responsible for the error. I upadated it and it is working.

    Many Thanks
