simulations which ran after maestro's check out are getting removed from history when canceling the check out

hi guys,

i have checked out my maestro view and ran few simulations, then canceled the check out. i see that all of the simulations which ran after the check out are no longer visible at the history list of the maestro view.

however, it looks like they still exist and valid while searching them through the unix:

is there any way to make it visible again at the maestro history list?

i'm asking because after i cancelled the maestro CO - the verifier is no longer recognizing those simulations history..

Thx

The information about what histories were run and the simulation setup in the history is stored as part of the maestro view, and so you’ve just discarded that information when you cancelled the checkout. The actual simulation results are stored elsewhere so they are not lost (often the rdb is also in the view too but not in your setup it seems). You could go over each history you wish to preserve (before cancelling the checkout) and convert the history to a “RO” (readonly) history which the keeps all the history information in the simulation directory, and these would continue to be visible after cancelling the checkout (essentially the same as any history you get when running a simulation when in readonly mode). You could then check out, make those RO histories normal histories (via the context menu over the history in the history view) and then check in.

There isn’t really support for importing just the results into the view though. I think there are requests for this, but given that there’s no complete record in just the simulation directory it’s not trivial to do this.
