Use simulation results of the first value of the parameter as a reference for other simulations

Hi,

I have such an issue.

I am runnign transient simulation and at the same time changing design veriable (e.g. trim settting from 0 to 7). So, overall have 8 transient simulations with corresponding measurements.

But want to compair measurement results in trim1 to trim7 with respect to trim0. In short I want to take the trim0 results as a reference.

Is there any function in ADE Assembler to do that.

Thanks in advance

Assuming I fully understand your question, yes. The calcVal() function allows you to take a result of one simulation and use it in one or more subsequent simulations. A Cadence resource that describes how one might use the calcVal() function in Assembler is in the Rapid Adoption Kit (RAK):

"Using calcVal and its Arguments with Virtuoso ADE Assembler", Product Version: IC6.1.8 ISR29, ICADVM20.1 ISR29 December 2022

You can search for it on the Cadence site.

In short, you will reference the result from your trim0 simulation in a variable for your subsequent simulations.

    Hi Shawn,

    Thanks for your response.

I tired calcVal() function and its work.

Just for information, I could solve this issue using ADE Assembler, Output Setup > EvalType>sweeps option also.

    Thanks
