Excluding Devices from Quantus RC Extraction

Currently the PDK I'm working with doesn't support Quantus RC extraction for a specific device. It's unlikely that this bug is fixed in the near future, so I have to find a workaround.

One option would be to remove the affected devices from the hierarchy level that I'd like to extract, and place them on the next higher hierarchy level. But this results in awkward schematics that are hard to read and modify.

Another possible approach could be to use wrapper cells for the affected devices, which contain nothing more than the device and pins. If the extractor can be told to not extract these wrapper cells, the schematic hierarchy could be kept clean. Is such a function available in Quantus? Perhaps the 'blackboxing' functionality can be used for this?

If you have other ideas how to handle this situation I'd be very glad for your input.
