Loading display.drf File in .cdsinit

Hi

I would like to automatically load a custom display.drf file whenever I start a Virtuoso session. For this I placed

drLoadDrf("/projects/UMC-22nm/setup/display.drf" nil)

in the corresponding .cdsinit file. However, this does not have any effect. When I manually enter the above command in the CIW window, the file is correctly loaded. I presume the PDK somehow loads its display.drf file at a later point, thus overwriting my file. Other settings from the .cdsinit file are applied correctly.

What is the proper approach to solve this issue, without messing with the PDK setup scripts?

Thanks very much for your help!

This post (one of the related posts shown at the right side in the forums) would give a decent solution for this https://community.cadence.com/cadence_technology_forums/f/custom-ic-skill/29458/problems-with-drloaddrf-ghzt-display-drf-nil/1334359#1334359

Thanks very much, Andrew. I've already seen this thread when searching for a solution but didn't see the replies--apparently they are only visible when logged in. The approach suggested works on my side too.

Do I understand correctly that in my custom file, I list only the layers that I want to change, and the others are then taken from the PDK display.drf file?

    Thanks!
