custom csv text file adding to library cell

I want to add a csv file as a text view to some cell. I tried the type as "text" but it creates a .txt file and doesn't work well since I cannot open it and save it in libreoffice --calc or excel

And in the create->new I dont see a csv option.

I basically want to maintain a csv with some notes/specifications about the cell. And I prefer it to be maintained in cadence library along with symbol/schematic/hdl views so that they can be in sync under version control. I dont want to do it outside cadence since we will feel more confident if the csv file in the library browser along with symbol/schematic.

This article explains the general principles for adding a custom view type - you'd need to adapt it to use libreoffice, but you can hopefully get the idea:

How to register different applications like acroread, kpdf, evince, okular to open custom viewType of document for PDF files. Changes required in the registry files and the SKILL triggers to be enabled.
