Spectre simulation terminated after S-parameter fitting.

Hello Sir,

I design LC oscillator, so using S-parameter of inductor I simulated PSS, PNOISE simulation.

But, below phrase appeared in the log file and the simulation stopped.

"""

Notice from spectre during initial setup.
In file `***/EMX/EMX_work/ka_EMX_Saffron24_lane_dco_ind_73pH_q32p4.work/Saffron24_lane_dco_ind_73pH_q32p4.s4p', the maximum passivity violation is 0.000004% at 5 MHz.

Perform S-parameter fitting for datafile: ***_dco_ind_73pH_q32p4.s4p

"""

MMSIM Version is 20.1isr12. Is there any solution?

    Hai Seungwoo,

Check the S Parameter data, if they are correct data.

Also check the file format of the S Parameter Data.

Check if the data covers the required frequency.

    Regards,

    Rohit Rohan

I also wouldn't expect the simulation to stop with these messages.

I suggest you look at Tawna's app note: 7 Habits of Highly Successful S-Parameters, Spectre 21.1
