how to stop virtuoso opening the schematic cellview when I open the layout view?

In the new version virtuoso, it always opens two cellviews(schematic and layout) when you open the layout cellview. It is a little bit annoying.

Does anyone know how to stop open the schematic cellview when opening the layout cellview?

That's the standard behaviour of Layout XL - it shows the connectivity reference. To stop the schematic displaying, use Options→Connectivity, and on the General tab, in the Connectivity Reference section, change the Open with to "No schematic".

This can also be set with this .cdsenv setting:

    layoutXL lxSchematicDefaultApp cyclic "None"

or the equivalent SKILL function in a .cdsinit file:

    envSetVal("layoutXL" "lxSchematicDefaultApp" 'cyclic "None")

Alternatively you don't need a connectivity reference, you can always use (in the layout window):

    Connectivity→Update→Connectivity Reference

and uncheck the "use schematic view". Save the layout and then next time the schematic won't open (but you won't have a connectivity reference either, so won't be schematic-driven).
