Can I use a variable for number of iterated instances

In a schematic can I have, say myRefDes<varName:0> ?

Per  https://community.cadence.com/cadence_technology_forums/f/custom-ic-design/15613/variable-number-of-iterated-instances it seems the answer is no but that post is 14 years old so maybe it's changed?

The above post also references a utility to create a parameterized cell - is that available on the Cadence website or should I contact my local account manager?

Thank you!

No, this is still not possible as a built-in capability. I would suggest contacting support or your account team to understand your precise needs to see the best approach for doing this (which might be a custom schematic PCell; I'm not sure that the approach I mentioned 14 years ago is still available, but there are other alternatives that could be explored).

I found out from my AE that there's a way to in 23.1.ISR7 to set up a number of iterations as a parameter in Explorer.   Open design -> Window -> Assistants -> Variables and Parameters -> click on component to iterate -> click on iterInstMultiplier parameter -> set sweep range

This is true - I should have mentioned that. I was thinking too much of the general request to support bus parameterisation everywhere rather than just for iterated instances in ADE.

Thanks for posting the suggestion - this will help others when they come across the same scenario.
