Schematic Editor Minor Grid Dot Size

Hi there,

When looking through different libraries, I noticed that the minor grid (and major grids) look different in the schematic editor. (I verified that my eyes are not deceiving me by copying a cell from one library to the other and found that the schematic is much calmer to look at when the minor grid dot-size is reduced.) Is there a way to adjust the size of the minor  (and major) schematic grid dots? I'm unable to find it in the display options or documentation. There, I can only find how to adjust certain settings of the major grid.

For example, in the image below the left = lib1, and the right = lib2

Best regards,

Nikola

    Nikola,

    Three things:

    1. You can dim the major grids using this: envSetVal("graphic" "dotStyleMajorGrid" 'boolean t)
    2. The minor grids are drawn using the color associated with the grid/drawing layer purpose pair
    3. The major grids are drawn using the color associated with the grid/drawing1 layer purpose pair

The second two can be set via the display.drf - or using Tools→Display Resource Manager in the CIW. Press "Edit" and then pick the technology library being used. Ensure that it's showing "All LPPs" and you can search for grid and then adjust the colors there. My guess is that they are using different shades of grey in the technology library associated with each library (probably the library containing these schematics are attached to different technology libraries).

    Regards,

    Andrew
