How to Set Checks/Asserts as Default View After Simulation in Virtuoso Assembler

Hello,

I am using VirtuosoStudio IC23.1.

I am running simulations in Virtuoso Assembler, and by default, the Detail view opens automatically when a simulation successfully completes. However, I would prefer the Checks/Asserts view to open by default after the simulation finishes, instead of having to manually switch to it each time.

Is there a way to configure Virtuoso Assembler so that the Checks/Asserts view is automatically displayed upon simulation completion? This configuration should apply for all users and be effective each time Cadence is launched.

I would appreciate any guidance on how to set this up.

Thank you!

You can put this in your shared .cdsinit :

    envSetVal("adexl.results" "defaultResultsViewForSweepsCorners" 'cyclic "Checks/Asserts")

(yes, it's an adexl env var, but it applies to maestro views too). A similar setting could be added to a common .cdsenv file:

    adexl.results defaultResultsViewForSweepsCorners cyclic "Checks/Asserts"

    Andrew,

Many thanks for your solution. It works in Assembler. However, instead of seeing the results under the "Checks/Asserts" view, I see "pending...". If I manually change the results view to something else and then back to "Checks/Asserts", I see the list of warnings, but they do not appear by themselves initially, even if I wait for a while after the simulation finishes. Is this a bug, or are there any other parameters that need to be updated?

    Can,

This appears to be a bug. I can reproduce it in the latest IC23.1 ISR (ISR10). Please contact customer support (submit a support case after logging in) so that this can be rectified.
