Unable to remove text labels after flattening layout pcell

Hi,

After flattening any layout pcell (e.g., layout of a MOSFET instantiated from PDK) in LayoutXL, I am not able to select or delete the text labels that came from the pcell. Please see the screenshot below, where the instance name and cell names cannot be deleted.

Please note that all Layers and Objects are in Visible and Selectable mode, still the labels are not getting selected.

Kindly help me resolve this issue.

FYI, I have used Cadence virtuoso version IC6.1.8 - 64b.500.29.

With regards,

The 'Dynamic Selection Assistant' can be useful to identify unknown objects. Enable the assistant and then hover the cursor over the object(s) to see all objects under the cursor.

On approaching the cadence support they asked us to try selecting the label after right clicking on Palette and clicking on Edit Valid Layer option , and then change validity ON of all layers.  And then deleing the test labels.

... And did that work? You stated "all Layers and Objects are in Visible and Selectable" which is equivalent to the solution above. I hoped to help you properly identify the layer and then you could ensure it was truly selectable.
