Back and forward history buttons in Schematic Editor clearing probed nets?

Does anyone know of a workaround for the back and forward history buttons in the "Go" toolbar (Window > Toolbars > Go) clearing all probed nets?

I would like to be able to use these buttons to navigate backwards and forwards in the view history while maintaining the nets I have probed, but whenever I use them, all the probes I have on nets get cleared/deleted, even if returning to the cell/view where they were probed. That makes the forward/back functionality almost useless for me.

My project/environment is set up to use IC6.1.8 but I've also tried in IC23.1 and the behavior is the same.

Any ideas?

I should probably clarify that I am talking about Virtuoso Schematic Editor L.

No, currently this is not possible. There's an old request (CCR 753983) asking for this, but it's non-trivial. The back and forward buttons are different from using descend and return (the up arrow or up to top arrow) because they re-open the design again rather than restoring the previous hierarchy point. That's a bit of an architectural change and R&D (at the time) said this was a non-trivial change.

You might want to contact customer support (use the Case menu to submit a support case after logging in) to request a duplicate be filed on your behalf.

    Regards,

    Andrew
