Inductor in Cadence Virtuoso

Hello,

I do not have an inductor in my technology and have never done before. Can someone provide me some guideline on how to create an inductor in cadence virtuoso in my technology? Schematic and layout? And which tools do I need to use for simulation? Do I create the layout and I simulate it? And then how is its schematic created? Or any .pdf showing step by step how to do it would be good.

Many thanks for your help.

Please do not post the same question in more than one forum (the forum guidelines - the pinned post at the top of each forum) ask you not to do this.

You might want to consider EMX Designer; this is a product from Cadence that provides flexible passive devices (inductors, transformers etc) where we provide a kit targetted for a particular technology and metal stack.

Please contact your account team (or customer support if you don't know who that is) for more information (the hyperlink above will take you to the product page too).

I think I have some tools integrated in my environment to simulate the EMI. But I need a guideline on where to start. Should I draw only the layout firstly and how? and then simulate it with these tools? Any guideline would be useful.
