Copying pins from one layout to another

I want to write a script which will copy particular layers from one layout to another. I copy all the shapes(after comparing the layer name of the shape with the list of layers)using the dbCopyShape() function. But after copying I see that the pins are copied but the labels of the pins are not copied along with them. I need a script to copy the pins along with their respective labels in the same positions. The purpose of both the pins and labels are "Drawing".
