Virtuoso ADE Distributed Plot does not honor CDS_2DFORM_FONT_SCALING

1. Open Virtuoso and its ADE with CDS_2DFORM_FONT_SCALING = 1.

2. Turn off the Distributed Plot, the Viva XL honors CDS_2DFORM_FONT_SCALING .

3. Turn on the Distributed Plot, the Viva XL ignores CDS_2DFORM_FONT_SCALING .

Is there anything I missed? Thanks.

Virtuoso version:

virtuoso -W
sub-version IC23.1-64b.43

Edit for future reader: solution

Andrew referred to this post  Spectre Interactive Environment (SIE) in HI DPI display

And I recommend to read: https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/highdpi.html#high-dpi-support-in-qt

ViVA is also not using old-style 2D forms, so this a) won't affect ViVA, and b) (more importantly) the font-size settings set in Virtuoso are not inherited in ViVA.

There are two possible solutions here:

    1. Launch "viva" as a standalone executable, and then use hiSetFont("label" ?size 14) and hiSetFont("text" ?size 14) there too. Quit viva. Subsequent "distributed" viva will pick up the last font size settings you set for viva (these are stored separately from those for virtuoso).
    2. Use the QT_SCALE_FACTOR approach I described in response to your other post.
