DRC ERROR in callibre

Dear all,

I AM USING TSMC PDK, WHEN I AM TRYING TO DO THE DRC OF SIMPLE INVERTER CIRCUIT USING THE CALLIBRE IN CADENCE VIRTUOSO

I am getting the following INFO .. can you please tell how to fix it ??

"INFO (XSTRM-180): You have not used the objectMap option. The design has instance(s) of at least one of following OpenAccess objects: oaBlockage, oaBoundary, oaRow, and oaMarker. Any information about these objects will not be translated into the generated stream file. Use the objectMap option to translate/preserve these objects using XStream. For details on the objectMap option, refer to the "Design Data Translator's Reference" guide for XStream."Ballot box with check️

Thanks

I can’t speak for the setup of Calibre (because it is not a Cadence tool - it’s from Siemens EDA, so the way that the usage of stream out is configured in their interface is something you’d need to ask Siemens about or ask on one of their forums), but by default stream out looks for an objectMap file within the technology library. If that is not present, then it’s pretty likely that this doesn’t matter - the objects in the database that are not mapped are unlikely to form part of the mask data and hence may not matter for DRC.

This is just an informational message. Why do you think it needs to be fixed?

The message itself is indeed coming from a Cadence tool (strmout), but:

Sorry, message got sent too quickly as I pressed the wrong button.

The message is indeed coming from a Cadence tool (strmout) but:

    1. The first question is whether this is even an issue; yes there may be unmapped objects in the design, but do they matter for DRC?
    2. if they did matter for DRC then I’d expect the library to have an objectMap file within the library.
    3. if you had been using File->Export->Stream from the CIW then you could set up the object mapping easily through the UI (if it mattered and there was no default objectMap provided).
    4. however, how strmout gets called from within the Calibre interface and how you specify an objectMap in their interface is definitely a Siemens issue, not Cadence.

Overall, I think it is likely that this info message doesn’t matter.

    Andrew
