Hi all!

I want to know about what is "View List" and "Stop List" options in the PVS LVS run form Input->schematic, I tried looking this in pvsuser and pvsref docs, but could'nt get enough info to understand these terms, I would really appreciate the answers, or suggestions to read any sections from those documents.

Thanks,

Regards,

Thiru

    Netlisters typically work like this....

    Iterate over instances in cellview.

Does the instance have a view on the viewList?

Is that view on the stopList?

Yes; do not descend and format the instance to the netlist.

No; Descend into the cellview, continue the iterative process.

The convention (default) is to use an 'auCdl' stopView. Not sure why you have 'cdl'.

    Probably need to set:

    setenv CDS_Netlisting_Mode Analog

    (for csh) or

    export CDS_Netlisting_Mode=Analog

    (for bash/ksh)

before starting Virtuoso. The default is Digital (still, despite 99% of users needing Analog mode) and that's probably triggering the "cdl" in the view list. There was another similar question about this in the last few days. I do wish we'd change the default after all these years!

CCR 3168252 has been filed for this request. Anyone who would like to support this is invited to ask Cadence Support to file a duplicate on their behalf.

It would be nice to have a community vote function for CCR's.
