"DrgEnb" of techDisplays class in Virtuoso Techfile IC5.1 & IC6.1

I have a question about DrgEnb in the techDisplays class.

When I set DrgEnb to 't' and 'nil' in an arbitrary layer, dragging is possible in both cases.

I'm curious why that is. Shouldn't dragging be disabled when it's set to 'nil'?

I suspect this is something that (in layout at least) may be a legacy setting. In the past, it certainly had an effect, but as we've moved to using "true color drag" as standard (we used to have a ghost outline) as performance of the drawing engine has been enhanced over the years, it's become redundant. I may be wrong, but couldn't find anything that controls this. We don't even give the choice of turning on or off "true color drag" on the UI any more because of improvements in this technology.

It was more important in the past when we didn't have true color drag, as the ghost image could get rather cluttered with just a white or yellow outline of all the shapes being dragged, so you could turn some layers off from the drag visualisation.
