How to change Net Tracer Color order

JH202504237643

I want to change the color order in Net Tracer Option.

Is there any way to modify the color order of highlight after using cycle?

Are you referring to the Create -> Probe -> Add Net functionality? If so I believe this is controlled by the y0-y9 display layers which you can edit in the Display Resource Editor (from the CIW: Tools -> Display Resource Manager...), you can save a display.drf file after editing to automatically load when you launch the tool.

Thanks, but I mean Connectivity → Net Tracer → Add/Remove and then press F3 to appear Net Tracer Options.

Looks like it's hard coded into the form...

    lnt0NetTracerForm->lntColor->choices
    ("Cycle"
    (ptrnum@0x47e1c890 106 26 "blue")
    (ptrnum@0x47e1c860 106 26 "purple")
    (ptrnum@0x47e1c850 106 26 "red")
    (ptrnum@0x47e1c840 106 26 "orange")
    (ptrnum@0x47e1c820 106 26 "cyan")
    (ptrnum@0x47e1c800 106 26 "lime")
    (ptrnum@0x47e1c7f0 106 26 "magenta")
    (ptrnum@0x47e1c7e0 106 26 "pink")
    (ptrnum@0x47e1c7b0 106 26 "yellow")
    )

    Hi, RobMan

I have tried to modify it as you said, but it it only modified the color order in the form and did not implement cycle display according to the colors in the list.

    Thanks,

    Jyhan

Create -> Probe is not equivalent to Net Tracer.

I cannot find a direct answer to your request Jyhan. However, there area number of lnt* SKILL functions. With this you could add your own trace selecting or cycling the colours as you like.

    lntAddTrace
    lntClearNeighbors
    lntComputeNeighbors
    lntContSteps
    lntGetAllTraces
    lntGetCurrentStep
    lntGetSavedViewNames
    lntGetTailVal
    lntGetTraceInfo
    lntHideNeighbors
    lntHiEditTrace
    lntHiNetTracer
    lntIsNeighborsVisible
    lntIsStepTrace
    lntNeighbors
    lntNextStep
    lntNextToSetStep
    lntPrevStep
    lntRemoveAll
    lntRemoveAllTraces
    lntRemoveTrace
    lntSaveTraces
    lntSetCurrentStep
    lntSetTailVal
    lntSetTraceColor
    lntSetTraceVisibility
    lntShowHideAllTraces
    lntShowNeighbors

See Virtuoso Layout Suite SKILL Reference for further information.
