How to mute WARNING This OS does not appear to be a Cadence supported Linux configuration

Rocky Linux release 8.8 is not the correct OS for running cadence, i know.

Although is it possible to mute the output message in CIW ?

2025/09/19 13:07:54 WARNING This OS does not appear to be a Cadence supported Linux configuration.
2025/09/19 13:07:54 For more info, please run CheckSysConf in <cdsRoot/tools.lnx86/bin/checkSysConf <productId>

Secondly, checkSysConf was here ii assume to verify if some package were missing.
But now, i think that checkSysConf does not verify packages is the OS is not recognise.

I my opinion, checkSysConf should tolerate to be run on various OS, not (yet) supported.

With the appropriate caveats, there's this article which talks about a way to suppress the warning. The article isn't specifically about Rocky Linux and I couldn't test it because it was hard to find a free machine with this OS in our farm.

That would rather imply that the software had been tested and the correct set of packages had been checked and identified, which is not the case if it's not supported!

There is a set of data for each OS and OS version for each software version, and that needs to be defined and set up for checkSysConf to know what the requirements are...
