EMIR Pin Current Results Discrepancy vs Transient Simulation Results

Hello there,

I was wondering where I am getting far off results from my EM/IR analysis. If I plot the transient waveforms I do not see a spike on the VSSA net for example larger than -3mA. The current stays within -2.8mA to -2.9mA.

In the EM/IR Data Report on the pins I see the Imax to be 5.48A (!) Iavg to be 94.9mA and Irms 1.17A (!).

The VSSA node is just connected diretly to a vdc element from analogLib with DC voltage of 0V.

Could the Cadence experts advise? What am I missing?

I would like to apologize for the results formatting, I could have uploaded the screenshot but the company policy does not seem to allow it.

Thanks,

Alfonso
