TSMC PDK Inductor Finder

Hi All,

Hope it finds you well. I'm a student who is learning to develop an analog circuit design automation framework with Cadence Virtuoso. I'm trying to find a way to automatically look for an inductor from a given L value. My personal opinion to realize this idea is using the SKILL script to work with the Finder window (see attached)

The SKILL script I have used to call the Finder window is as follows: "

_deGoToSessionHistory("SKILL_test" "spiral_inductor" "schematic" '(((-1.15 -1.2) (1.575 0.91875)) "a" "Schematics" 4) "newWin")

schSingleSelectPt()

schCDFCallback('finder)

hiiSetCurrentForm('tsmcPdk_IndFinder_table)

hiiSetCurrentForm('schObjPropForm)

hiiSetCurrentForm('tsmcPdk_IndFinder_table)

"

However, this code doesn't work from the second line ("schSingleSelectPt()"), since it cannot figure out with instance I would like to select. If I use cursor to select the inductor on schematic, then run the code from the 3rd line to the end, the code works well.

I would like to ask if you know either of these concern:

1) Is there anyway to use the SKILL script to select an instance in schematic?

2) Is there any different way to use the TSMC PDK Inductor Finder by using SKILL script (or any other script / programming language)?

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Thang
