Virtuoso (IC25.1) startup very slow (~5mins) after Linux Update

I recently updated my Linux workstation to Alma Linux 9.7 from openSUSE Leap  15, since that platform is not supported by Cadence.

In openSUSE I had Virtuoso starting in less than 30 seconds, in my new setup it takes over 5 mins and when I open the library manager it is another ~ 5 mins.

There are no undefined or missing libraries in my Library Manager.

In my new installation the checkSysConf is PASS. The CDS.log from invoking virtuoso shows it takes almost 400s.

I tried invoking libManager by itself and it reports the following warnings, which I have not been able to find any info on:

\w Warning: Mps Error: "_mpsReadOrGet:could not connect with cdsMsgServer on host mxcserver
\w "
\w Warning: Mps Error: "mpsRegInterest:could not connect with cdsMsgServer on host mxcserver

Finally I also see this message in dashboard_CDS.log: "*WARNING* Failed to connect to mxcserver 6870"

I am thinking there is a port, permission or network setup which is set incorrectly in the new Linux install.

Looking for any hint or help on how to resolve this. I was unable to attach tiles, but have them available.

Thanks for your help
