How to Disable Auto-Execution of Animate Preview on Schematic Open to Fix Large Design Lag

Hi everyone,
I'm encountering an issue where Animate Preview automatically runs immediately every time I open a schematic in Virtuoso. This causes severe lag and slow loading when working with large, complex circuits, as the preview process consumes significant system resources during schematic launch.
I want to completely disable the automatic execution of Animate Preview on schematic open, and only trigger it manually when needed. Could anyone share:
  1. The environment variables, SKILL variables, or configuration settings that control this auto-run behavior
  2. How to permanently disable the auto-preview feature
  3. Any workarounds to prevent Animate from running automatically at schematic load
Thanks  for your help!

    Hi,

Animate as default automatically runs on schematics which have less that 100 instances.  This can be changed using the env var :

    PULSIC_ANIMATE_AUTOMATIC_RUN_MAX_INSTANCE_COUNT

If you set this to 0, then Animate will only run when you press the play button on the Animate Assistant.

    Best Regards,

    Andrew
