Hi,

I would like to know how to disply description about the commands when executed in layout window. For Eg: when Copy command is executed, the message window should display the discription about the command like

info:copy

"select the figure to be copied"

"point the location to be copied."

the way it is displayed in prompt window.

     Hi,

These prompts are part of the "enter function", for example, enterPoints() which has an argument ?prompts for supplying one or more prompts as you have noted.

There are certainly some good examples of enter functions being used in SKILL code, one of which is the following solution on SourceLink:

How can I created slotted metal paths?

An alternative link to this code is in the CIC SKILL Code Library page: CCSslotMetal.il

I hope that this helps you.

    Regards,

    Lawrence.
