Link between VLX (Virtuoso XL schematic) and Virtuoso layout database

When creating layout from VXL, the instances are placed with names that correspond to the instances in the schematic.
When I click on a layout instance, the corresponding schematic instance is highlighted and vise versa.

If the layout instance's names are changed this link still exists, but since I don't have access to it in SKILL I have to rely on the instance names being the same.

Is there any way to access this database that VXL uses to associate a schematic with the corresponding layout?

  • I'm using sub-version 5.10.41.500.6.134 from the getVersion(t) command so I couldn't find any bnd* functions but lxSetConnRef() and lxGetLXInfo should be enough:
