How to check if a particular view of a cell exists?

Hi, I was using the following command to check if a view of a cell exists: >> if((NewCellId = dbOpenCellViewByType(MyLibName myCell newView nil "r")) then >> .... It doesn't work. It will always create a dbId for that view even if that is the first time. Is there a different way to check if the cells exist? Thanks in advance, Ronen.

It worked as I intended using the ddGetObj().
