Importing GDS file in cadence

Hi,

I would like to import gds file, which available in my server.

I have used import->stream option..

after I import I am getting  "Error load : Cant access file "

I tried with few other items :

"Value of the option 'techfileName', defined in the template file, contains spaces, spaces not allowed."

I have to use Opus DB or ASCII Dump or Techfile.....?

If I try to import using OpusDB It says "FATAL (299): Stream out was unable to find a primary cell in the input database
Compiling Class 'layerDefinitions'.....
Compiling Class 'layerRules'...........

Thanks for your reply

    Hi Selvaa

It looks like you might have specified a wrong path for your gds file. Would you please correct the path and retry?

    Best regards
    Quek

    Hi Selvaa

Do you see only a single black colour layer in the LSW? If yes, would you please try the following?

    a. In ciw, go to "Tools->Technology File Manager"
    b. In the small form that appears, select "Attach"
    c. Attach your design lib to your tech lib

    Best regards
    Quek

    Hi Selvaa

Would you please upload your CDS.log file? Please upload the file as an attachment, not cut and paste.

    Thanks

    Hi Selvakumar

I am unable to see the attachment. Please use the upload attachment function. There is a tab named "Option" when you reply to a message. Select the tab.

    Best regards

    Hi Selvakumar

Thanks for the files. The gds file itself is the problem. It is empty. So it is expected that you get an empty layout.

    Best regards
