Error encountered during pcell instantiation??

    This is the code i have written to read a file and then instantiate a pcell inside an already created pcell:

But i am generating errors while i run this code :

Can anyone look into and this find the error in it.....

    It will return nil from dbOpenCellViewByType if it can't write to the specified cellView. Is it locked? Does it have write permission?

    I'm slightly confused as to the purpose of your code - you talk in the original post about instantiating something inside an already created pcell. Is that really what is happening? Or are you just calling this function (outside of a pcell) and expecting it to create some new layouts which have instances of some existing pcells?

    By the way, your code doesn't appear to save the cellView it opens in write mode - so once you solve this problem, you'd hit the issue that everything is being discarded.
