use skill language to convert a picture into RGB matrix

 hi,

   is there anybody who did some work about image porcessing in cadence environment, or if there is a function can convert image into matrix, I want to extract RGB from a picture, but I didn't find a function can do this in skill manual!

    First of all, what do you mean by "cadence environment"? There are lots of potential environments you could be talking about - could be Allegro, could be SimVision, could be Encounter, could be Virtuoso - etc. Secondly, what kind of file are you talking about reading? I have written some SKILL code which allows reading an XPM (X PixMap) file and generating a layout from it - mainly for creating logos on chips. XPM has the benefit of being an ASCII format. If you're trying to read generic picture formats (e.g. JPEG, PNG etc) you would probably be better off using some external program which has libraries for reading such formats, and then outputting the data in some ASCII format which can easily be read by whichever environment  you're actually talking about.

    If it's Virtuoso you're talking about, reading an image into Virtuoso is probably a rather rare or specialist requirement, so it's not that surprising there's no standard function to do this.
