How to Check & Save a symbol

 Is there any function availalbe to Check & Save a Symbol without opening it.

    Thanks Danilo for your quick reply.

    Could you help me in following:

    Is the following 3 statements give similar result:

    1. dbCheck(cid) & dbSave(cid)

    2.schVIC(cid) & dbSave(cid)

    3. schHiVICAndSave()  

    Note: in 3rd statement we can't give cid but it takes the current window id.
