How to dump il labels associated with an instance in schematic

Hi Experts,

I am trying to dump all the interpreted labels associated with an instance in my test schematic. There is only one instance in this schematic. I wrote following code for this task, following piece of code when run interatively give me correct result (correct il Labels. But when I use same in my test procedure I get empty string for iilString. Seems like limitation of cdsParam( ). I am wrong or Is there an alternate way to get the task done.

=========code=====

srcCvId=geGetEditCellView()
instCDF=cdfGetInstCDF(car(srcCvId->instances))
;;Dumping IL Labels
                foreach(_illable  parseString(instCDF~>paramLabelSet)
                      _iilString=cdsParam(_illable)

                      printf("CellName=%L TestcaseName=%L ilLable=%L" cellName testcaseName _iilString)
                      fprintf(tmpport "CellName=%L TestcaseName=%L ilLable=%L" cellName testcaseName _iilString)
                      );end foreach
                fprintf(tmpport "#END IlLables \n")
;;End Dumping IL Labels

==============

Thanks & Best Regards

    Mark,

    When I dug a bit further, it simply isn't possible - you'd have to recognize the cdsParam() and essentially replicate what it's doing. Far from trivial. "cdsParam(1)" isn't an AEL expression, so evaluating it makes no sense either...

    In order to move and manipulate them, you don't need to evaluate them. You probably just need to create the text display using dbCreateTextDisplay - just as what happens if you've already moved it. The text display only gets created if needed.

    Sorry if that's a bit vague - I've a ton of things to catch up with after being on vacation... so don't have the chance to try this myself.

    Andrew.
