Form popup from library manager causes library manager to wait...

Greetings all,

I'm running Virtuoso IC6.1.5.500.7

I've got a form which is launched from the library manager which works fine, except that when the form is launched it causes the library manager to wait (busy cursor) while the form is up.  If I close the form, it returns control to the library manager.

I know it's possible to spawn a form from the library manager without causing it to wait since the copy form doesn't freeze the lib manager.

Any ideas out there?

Mark

    Hi Mark,

Are you creating the form yourself through Library Manager customization using the cdsLibMgr.il file, or are you talking about a built-in form of the Library Manager UI.  If the latter then there is little that can be done, file a service request, if a change request is warranted then a CCR could be filed either as a bug report or an enhancement request [also, which form/action are we talking about?].  If is is the former, then I think that the form could be made to return sooner using the ?unmapAfterCB argument to hiCreateAppForm(), you would set it to nil - and this is the default, otherwise the Library Manager may be waiting for the form to unmap and return a value before continuing?

    Perhaps I misunderstood the question?

    Regards,

    Lawrence.
