IC5.1.41 itkDB_pic.a compilation error : undefined reference to `ilInitClients'

 Hi,

I am trying to use ITK for a  IC5.1.41 application.

itkDB.a requires g++ version 3.2.3 but the rest of the code is not compatible with 3.2.3.

( see support.cadence.com/.../)

To overcome this I used itkDB_pic.a that can be compiled with newer g++ versions. The problem here is ilInitClients that is used to initialize SKILL. Is there any other way to compile ITK with a newer compiler and have skill support?

thanks,

Labros

    Labros,

That's been fixed in IC61(something). It's not there in IC5141 because there was not a "position independent code" version of some of the libraries that needed to be linked in.

So in IC5141 you only have the option of using the itkDB.a if you need ilInitClients.

    Andrew.
