How to create cdl view using skill

 Hi,

I would like to create cdl view.

I tried to do that using  deNewCellView(Cell_Library Cell_Name "cdl" "Cdl" nil)

But it didn't work well. It only created cdl view ,without creating the cdl file inside of it.

I managed  to solve this problem  when I create at first schematic file:deNewCellView(Cell_Library Cell_Name "schematic" "schematic" nil)

Also , when I did that I noticed that it automaticly opens the cdl file. Can  I prevent that?

Thanks,

Michael Shuster

Hi Andrew, Thanks for the fast replay. I didn't understand the second part of your answer: "If there's an existing schematic view, there are some smarts to set the terminals for you - but you'd still need to provide the contents." Can I create a cdl view without creating one of the other views? If the answer is positive can you please explain me what should I do. Thanks. Michael Shuster
