    Adhil,

There are explanations of the functions, and some examples in the documentation. Not sure what you're after? (they're not macros, but functions, BTW). Are you looking in cdnshelp or in cdsFinder?

    Andrew.

    Hi

I'm sorry, i dont understand the distinction between a macro and a function :). I was just going through the manual, and i was a bit curious about these functions. The explanations provided by the manual didn't help me much in understanding their true value.

     Adhil.

A macro is a type of function which runs at compile time and expands one set of code into another; a function is a normal run-time function. For more info on macros, see my solution on COS.

I've never used any of these functions, but I would expect them to correspond to  Create->P&R Objects type menus in the layout editor.

    Andrew.
