Create a clickable report in SKILL

Hello,

I wrote a piece of code that generates a logfile containing some error points referred to a Layout. Is there a way to create a log file (HTML???) where I can click on the points for generating an actions such as, for example, the point higlithting on layout?

BR,

 Giuseppe

    Hi Giuseppe,

    I filed an enhancement CCR within the last year asking for precisely this with an HTML widget (hiCreateWindow with the second argument being "html") - CCR number 1166483. If you want the same, you could contact customer support and a duplicate CCR could be filed. It's feasible, but just hasn't been implemented yet.

    The other thing you could do is use a show file window and then add custom popup menus which operate on the selected text - so you could select the text you want and do a RMB->some action and it would then do whatever you want. Not as nice as a hyperlink, but not too bad. Actually, come to think of it, you could add a binding for double-click of one of the mouse keys or a key and that could then  do whatever action you like.

    Search in the documentation for hiGetCurrentTextSelection and that will take you to the right section (on "Viewfile management"). I have an example, but I can't post it here as it is part of the SKILL Training course material.

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew.

    Here is one way to do it with the hypertext field on a form.

    x1 = 10.0
    y1 = 20.0
    x2 = 0.0
    y2 = 5.0
    x3 = 7.0
    y3 = 1.0
    sprintf(content "\tPan to location <a NAME=myname href=#myloc|pan|%.2f|%.2f>(%.2f,%.2f)</a> for fun\n" x1 y1 x1 y1)
    sprintf(content "%s\tPan to location <a NAME=myname href=#myloc|pan|%.2f|%.2f>(%.2f,%.2f)</a> for fun\n" content x2 y2 x2 y2)
    sprintf(content "%s\tPan to location <a NAME=myname href=#myloc|pan|%.2f|%.2f>(%.2f,%.2f)</a> for fun\n" content x3 y3 x3 y3)

    procedure(myCb(fieldSym hyperName hyperRef)
      let((data x y)
        data = parseString(hyperRef "|")
        when(cadr(data)=="pan"
            x=evalstring(nth(2 data))
            y=evalstring(nth(3 data))
            hiPan(hiGetCurrentWindow() x:y)
        )
      )
    ) ;proc

    _myZoomForm= hiCreateAppForm(
        ?name '_myZoomForm
        ?fields list(
          list(hiCreateHypertextField(
            ?name 'zoomHyperWin
            ?value content
            ?hasHorizontalScrollbar t
            ?hasVerticalScrollbar nil
            ?callback "myCb"
           ) 0:0 300:100
        ))
    )
    hiDisplayForm(_myZoomForm)
