[HELP] Deleting Terminal "X" during a design open

Hello ,

I generated a schematic pcell using SKILL code , The generation was successfull but whenever I open the design I get the following warnings :

Deleting the terminal "sub!", during a design open or synchronization operation, as it has no pin associated with itself.

I get these warnings for all terminals in the schematic . Any hint why I am getting these warnings ? Is it because I didn't assign any pin in my design ?

Thanks

Have you really written a PCell, or just SKILL to generate a schematic? I could expect that if you've written SKILL to procedurally generate a fixed schematic and then opened it an editor then it could have this problem if you only have the logical terminals and not the physical pins, but with a parametrized cell, the editor should not edit the result because it knows that it is procedurally generated and will automatically produce a new variant for each set of parameters - so it should not attempt to modify the database in that case. Regards, Andrew

I wrote the Pcell for Layout, Schematic and Symbol. Any hints why I am getting these warnings ? Which part should I look in to the code to fix this ?

Can you post the code (for the schematic PCell)? It's pretty hard to debug without seeing it. Andrew

Hey Andrew, Is it possible I send you the code privately ? What I have figured out is the net names in Schematic and Symbol view is different but I am not sure from where this difference is coming from because I am using exactly same coding for assigning the net names for symbol and schematic views

Yes, send me a friend request on the forum. I'll accept that and then you'll be able to send the code to me (note, this is not an invitation to all users to send me friend requests and send direct messages - questions should be posted to the forums, and only direct messages sent when I suggest it).

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew.
