Hello all;

 I I need to generate a gds file from a skill file..please recommend me your suggestions.

one option is to generate a layout from the skill file using  virtuoso -nograph skilfile.il command. The generate a gds file using strmout command.

Is there any single step to generate a gds file from a skill file.

Thanks & Regards

Ahmad.

    Here is some code I used to generate a GDS from an open cellView. You probably could remove the virtualMemory line.

    procedure( MPCgenGDS(@key (cvId geGetEditCellView() ) outputFile layerMap )

        xstSetField( "library" cvId~>libName)
        xstSetField( "topCell" cvId~>cellName)
        xstSetField( "view" cvId~>libName)
        xstSetField( "virtualMemory" "true" )
        xstSetField( "strmFile" outputFile )
        xstSetField( "layerMap" layerMap )
        pipoDisplay(transStreamOutForm)
    )

    You can also run strmout in batch mode using a template file or specifying the options on the command line. More info on these options are found in the Data Translators Reference in cdnshelp.
