Putting decap in empty area

Hi Andrew,

Using virtuoso 616

In an IP, I want to fill decap in empty area where OD(active) and NW is not present. I can find the empty area using dblayerandnot. But the next question is the layer generated by dblayerandnot is having many points and not getting an approach to place decap cell in this region . Could you please help me out.

Thanks,

Harsha

    Harsha,

You may be able to use dbLayerTile to break the area into rectangular regions, and then for each rectangle you can do some calculations and then place a mosaic of your decap cells. Or just use loops to place a bunch of instances in a rectangular region - that should be fairly simple to achieve.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Since your reply was delayed I thought i will not get reply. Thanks a lot for reply and support.

I only respond to the forums in my spare time, and last week I had very little spare time - my real job was keeping me rather busy!

Anyway, glad you managed to figure it out.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
