Query exact command of syntax check for Behaviourals

Hello all. The context is as follows:
We want to run batch syntax checks for text views (mostly verilog, systemVerilog and VerilogAMS). The trouble is that the views have no write access. Hence, the vmsUpdateCellView() SKILL command cannot be used. The issue is that there are multiple settings for running the verilog/verilogAMS engine. These include syntax checkers, verilog 2001 support, and others.
The question is: How can one query the ncvlog/ams designer/other engine call for checking a particular cell WITHOUT actually calling the skkill vmsUpdateCellView() SKILL command
