How to access global signals cds_globals

FormerMember
FormerMember over 8 years ago

Hello everyone,

I have a cellview that has both inherited connections that can be called with this command dbGetCellViewInheritedSig and other global signals that do not show up with it. However, all of them appear in the cds_globals module after the netlisting.

I want to figure out this global "hidden" signal without running the netlister. Like is there a way in skill to get the name of this signal?

Thanks,

Sherif

    Sherif,

Not quite clear what you're after here, but for a specific cellView you can find the global signals this way:

    setof(sig cv~>signals sig~>isGlobal)~>name

(obviously you don't need to do the ~>name if you just want the db objects). Note that global signals are defined per-cellView, so to find all in the design, you'd have to do this for each cellView in the hierarchy.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
