break string without losing any character from string

Hello team,

I want to break a string at particular intervals without losing any character.

I can use parseString to break the string, but I will loose the delimiter. And I need to concatenate it again.

Is there any way to break a string without losing any character, other than parseString?

For ex: string= "CustomSKILL". I want the output to be ("CUSTOM" "SKILL").

Thanks in advance

Sharif

    Hi Sharif,

    I think this is what you are looking for:

    substring(
      S_string
      x_index
      [ x_length ]
    )

        => t_result / nil

    Creates a new substring from an input string, starting at an index point and continuing for a given length.

    If you have a lot of processing to do, consider doing it outside of SKILL; in my opinion SKILL is not well suited to doing a lot of text manipulation.  Having said this, I am generally able to do the text processing that I need using functions like the above substring and length, and the pcre* prefix functions (and sometimes rexMatchp)

    Best regards,

    Lawrence.
