Find paths an MPPs

I want to write a script that searches all the paths in my layout (level0). But if I look for shaps with objType "path", the MPP's are also included. How can I see the difference between a path and a MPP?

    Try this instead: rodIsObj(rodGetObj(car(geGetSelSet()))) or even just rodGetObj(car(geGetSelSet())) as it will return nil for a regular path. Be aware that instances will return a rodObj if using this code, so you may need to ensure that the selected objType is a path first.

    Also you could look at, say, the subParts to verify that the shape is an MPP: 

    mpp = rodGetObj(car(geGetSelSet()))
  => rodObj:0x444cad00
mpp~>subShapes
  => (db:0x838500a4 db:0x838500a5)
