Extract Device Properties Using SKILL

Hello,

In the library manager, it is possible to right click on a cell (e.g. a transistor) and "Show Properties". I need to retrieve one of the values included in the properties (e.g. max_Width, with value 100u).

I have tried dbGetPropByName(instID, "max_Width"), but it seems like this is not the function I need as it returns nil.

Any hints would be appreciated.

Best regards,
Karam

    Hi Karam,

    If it's on the cell, then you'd need to do:

    bag=dbOpenBag(ddGetObj("theLibName" "theCellName"))
    prop=dbGetPropByName(bag "max_Width")
    prop~>value

    Or (particularly if you're not changing it, and the property name doesn't have any spaces or unusual characters), you can just do:

    ddGetObj("theLibName" "theCellName")~>max_Width

    to get the value.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
