How to push the contents of CIW window to a file on execution of a skill script. May be something similar to "tee" command in Linux

Hi,

I just want to move everything that is printed on the CIW window on execution of any SKILL command. So is their any SKILL function to do this.

I know these things will be captured in the CDS.log file which will be created on opening the Virtuoso, But the CDS.log file has everything that o do in Virtuoso, and my intention is to capture the lines that are printed on execution of the custom SKILL function.

Thanks in Advance

Regards

    Hi Abhijith,

A couple of possibilities. One simple approach is to call hiStartLog("file.log") before the operation and then hiEndLog() after the operation - that will create a second temporary log file with the log data between the two calls. Another could be to use the macro in the recent post: Redirect poport to variable

    Regards,

    Andrew
