How to rename all instances in layout to match schematic

Hi,

I would like to know if a script already exist to rename all the instances in the layout to match the schematic.

For example:

In schematic, I have a device named M0<4:0>

In layout I have those device bounded named M1, M1_old, I4, |X3, Y6.

I want it to be renamed M0(0), M0(1), M0(2), etc.

Thanks

Tony

    Tony,

    Assuming that you're using Virtuoso Layout Suite XL and the instances are bound OK (i.e. the devices correspond), you can do this with Check against Source and then use the Annotation Browser to fix things.

    First use Connectivity->Check->Against Source:

    Then in the Annotation Browser you'll see in the CAS tab the Names which don't match:

    Then go over the Names heading (or individual mismatches) and use Right Mouse->Update Names:

    That will fix the names to match the expected name.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
