Create Probe GUI

How to create a probe GUI in skill which is very similar to the probe observed while executing leHiMarkNet. Is there any skill function to create the same?

When I manually probe I want to obtain the database Id of the shape or Instance probed.

Thankyou

You asked a similar (or at least related) question a few weeks go, to which I gave this answer. You could use mark net and then leSaveMarkNet to save the corresponding shapes into an empty cellView. This is not going to find the original shapes, but it would allow you to find equivalent shapes/layers.

As I said before, writing your own shape chaser is a lot of work, especially when  you have to deal with hierarchy too. So I'd think twice before re-inventing a wheel which probably doesn't need re-inventing...

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Yes I did what you have said before and was successful. But my question was not related to that.

I want to create pointer like GUI (probe) for different application just like the one observed in leHiMarkNet.

I don't know what you mean by "create pointer like GUI (probe)".

    Andrew.
