equivalent skill code for manually created schematic

Hi,

is there any command to dump list of skill commands used while creating a given schematic ? Assume we have a schematic created manually , and now I want to list out all the skill commands virtuoso used in the background.

For example,  once ADE is setup then we can use "save ocean script" to list out all the equivalent ocean commands to dump into a file.

Thanks & Regards,

Prasad

    Hi Prasad,

Use the SKILL function dbWriteSkill(..). Based on a given cell view (your schematic) it creates a file with the SKILL code to recreate just that cell view.

Note however that the functions in the dump produced by dbWriteSkill are low level database commands, and there are often simpler higher level functions that can be used such as schCreateInst, schCreateWire, schCreateWireLabel and so on which take care of some of the detailed work for you.

There is nothing that dumps out a script using this set of functions though.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
